Working @ Terato

Every programmer were born with a wish, and that wish is to be hired into the most fabulous workplace ever in this 20th century; Google. Although I grew in an age where the "dream" revolves around Microsoft, Google is the new programmer's heaven. And it's not hard to see why; unlimited free food, world class facilities, and flexible schedules.
However, if you are like us who loves to bask in the raging sun, deep in the rich tropics of Malaysia lies a workplace that is not that far from the American's Dream. In fact, it doesn't get any better than this.
First of all, Teratotech is heavily inspired by Google, and even though we don't offer unlimited free food (editor: more out of health concerns, I reckon lol), we have our fair share of food awesomeness. Mondays to Thursdays, Terato 'family members' (staffs and employees can't really describe our culture) dines at the very finest of Malay cuisines at Makcik's deli, this is no canteen.
As for Fridays, like what it was written on the logo, every Friday is a good day at Terato. Each team in Terato will only have to do a simple presentation on what was achieved within the week, and then it's off to the grand restaurants for a nice feast. Pizza, check. Burger and fries? Check.Fried Chicken? Got it. Heck, even the local cuisines we are so accustomed to are spectacular. Nasi Goreng Pataya, there's nothing like it, only at La Rizz Cafe in Bangi (which incidentally is where the Terato crew dines at when it comes to local food).
However, working at Terato is not just food and fun. I mean, hey, those awards hanging on the wall didn't just appear out of thin air; it's serious business here in Terato. We take work so seriously that we couldn't afford to be slowed down by viruses and computer maintenance, and that is why Terato is a Mac only environment. The office is fully equipped with iMacs, Macbooks and Mac Minis. The only PC part of us would probably be the Xbox 360 lying by the side, providing some Halo fun to ease stress.
Oh by the way, if you haven't noticed, Teratotech is a Mobile application specialist. Those banners you saw in the 2nd picture from the top? We aren't kidding when it comes to mobile applications, Teratotech covers from the now most renowned mobile, iPhone, to the most obscure smartphone in the market, the Palm Pre. And hey, we have plans to expand to enterprises with Blackberries - the sky is the limit here.
I could really go on and on, but hey, if you think this is pretty impressive, why don't you come and experience it yourself? Teratotech is always on the lookout for talents! So if you are on Facebook, be sure to keep a close eye for wall posts like the one above! Life is always full of surprises here.
